Cedar Privacy Fence Installation in Colorado Springs
Six feet of cedar, built straight, on posts I set deep in concrete.
Paragon Fence Co builds cedar privacy fences all over Colorado Springs. Most are 6 feet tall, and every post goes at least 30 inches deep in concrete. Under cedar, I like Postmaster galvanized steel posts. Steel doesn't rot. Cedar or treated wood posts are on the table too. You pick the style, the gates and the posts, and your estimate shows real numbers for each one.

Stain or sealer options for new cedar
How I Build It
Walk the line with you. We'll talk gates, slope, which side faces out, and what your HOA allows. Confirming the property line is on you, so grab your plat or survey before I come out.
Written estimate. Style, height, posts, gates and tear-out. Every piece gets a real number.
811 before we dig. We get the public utility lines marked first. 811 doesn't mark private lines, like sprinklers or a line to a detached garage, so show us where yours run.
Posts go in right. Every post goes at least 30 inches deep, set in concrete, plumb and in line. This is the part that keeps a fence straight, so I don't rush it.
Rails, boards and gates. Rails go on tight. Boards go up straight. Gates get hung so they swing and latch the way they should.
Walkthrough and cleanup. We walk the finished fence together. Then we clean up, and if the old fence is part of the job, we haul it off.

Why Paragon
Steel posts by choice. Postmaster galvanized steel posts cost more up front than wood posts, but steel doesn't rot. That makes it an easy call for me.
Reskin it later. On steel posts, after many years you just put on new pickets and rails. You get a new-looking fence without starting over.
A carpenter builds it. I've been doing carpentry for over 10 years. I build every fence like it's going around my own yard.
Service Area
I build fences all over Colorado Springs, including Broadmoor and Old Colorado City, plus Fountain, Security-Widefield, Monument, Peyton, Falcon, Black Forest, Woodland Park, Manitou Springs, Green Mountain Falls and Cripple Creek.
FAQs
How much does a cedar privacy fence cost in Colorado Springs?
It depends on length, height, style, gates, the ground and what's coming out. I price it after I see the yard, and the estimate shows real numbers.
Do I need a permit for a 6-foot cedar fence in Colorado Springs?
Not a building permit. Inside Colorado Springs city limits, a fence only needs one if it's over 7 feet, but the City still sets the zoning rules for where a fence goes and how tall, so call city zoning at 719-385-5982 to check your address. If you're in an HOA, getting their approval is on you, so start early.
Should I put my cedar fence on steel or wood posts?
I prefer Postmaster galvanized steel posts. They cost more up front than wood posts, but they don't rot. Your estimate shows the real numbers for each.
How long does a cedar fence install take?
Most fence installs take a few days once we start, depending on length, gates, rock in the ground and weather. Your estimate gives you a real schedule for your yard.
Does a cedar fence need stain in Colorado Springs?
No wood fence is maintenance-free here. Sun, dry air, wind and freeze-thaw all work on cedar, and a stain or sealer helps protect it. We can go over finish options when I come out.
How tall can a fence be in my front yard?
Inside Colorado Springs city limits, a fence in front of your house can be 4 feet tall at most. On a corner lot, a solid fence can't run past the front-yard setback, and fences near your driveway have to keep sight lines clear. Backyard privacy fences are usually 6 feet, and your HOA may have its own rules.
